KEJOHANAN Futsal Amatur JPS-Figos 2012 di Gelanggang Futsal JPS Ampang yang sepatutnya diadakan pada 29 Januari ini ditunda pada 5 Februari depan.
Menurut Pengarah Kejohanan, Nik Muhd Radzi, pindaan tarikh itu terpaksa dibuat kerana terdapat sedikit masalah teknial.
“Saya mohon maaf kepada semua pasukan yang telah mendaftar mengenai pindaan tarikh ini yang tidak boleh dielak.
“Tarikh tutup pendaftaran turut dilanjutkan kepada 3 Februari. Jadi pasukan mempunyai banyak masa untuk menghantar borang penyertaan,” katanya.

THE Asian Football Confederation (AFC), encouraged by the positive results, have decided to extend the community programme Midnight Football to other countries in the continent.
The pilot programme, with 64 participants who were mostly teenagers, was initiated last year. The idea was to provide a platform for youngsters to be involved in healthy activities.
AFC Social Responsibility Department director Ra Ingill said AFC had organised some prestigious tournaments for their affiliates.

ORANGE FC, based in Klang, became the champions in the Selangor leg of the Giant Futsal championship at the Sports Planet, Kota Damansara recently.
In the final, Orange FC, trailing 0-1 in the first half, came back strongly in the second half and defeated DE Stadium YT A 2-1.
As the champions, Orange FC took home RM3,000 while DE Stadium YT A settled for RM1,500.

PASUKAN Vatica FC dari Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) mengesahkan kejuaraan kategori IPTA/IPTS apabila membenam Unimax FC dari Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) 2-0 pada perlawanan akhir Kejohanan Futsal Piala Datuk Haji Suhaimy, Kolej 10 UPM, Serdang, baru-baru ini.
Vatica layak ke final selepas mengalahkan Pak Cik Otai 4-1 di separuh akhir manakala Unimax menumpaskan Cemara FC 4-3.
Juara membawa pulang hadiah pakej penginapan, RM400, barangan Figos dan hamper.
Unimax pula memenangi hadiah pakej penginapan, RM200, barangan Figos dan hamper.

DANI FC B grabbed the limelight in the grand finals of the Revive-Sports Planet Ultimate Champions League at the Sports Planet Ampang recently.
Dani FC B became the champions in the men’s category when they defeated Dre FC B 2-0 in the final. As the champions Dani FC B received RM7,000, a challenge trophy and Revive Isotonic goodies. Dani FC B’s Jamaludin Alias emerged as the tournament’s top scorer with six goals and received RM200.

JAKARTA (8 Nov 2011) – Thailand are banking on the winning trio of Kasem Jariyawatwong, Prapol Pongpanich and Vitoon Kitmongkolsak to deliver them the gold medal they lost to Malaysia two years ago.
At the SEA Games in Jakarta in 1997, the Thais picked up their third gold medal of the men’s football event by beating hosts Indonesia through penalty shootouts in the final.

PEMUDA Medan Batu Caves thrashed Minnal FC 3-0 to win the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) Zone Four futsal tournament held at the outdoor futsal court in Kampung Bendahara, Batu Caves recently.
Pemuda Medan Batu Caves was rewarded RM1,000 for their win while Minnal FC received RM750.
Zone Three Junior edged Royal FC 3-2 to finish third to collect RM500. Royal FC received RM200.

It was at that point that I decided I was going to become a professional footballer when I grew up. However, I found out the hard way that not everybody can emulate the skills of the great Maradona.
