BUDAPEST, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Spain beat Portugal 4-2 in the final of the UEFA European Futsal Championships on Saturday to claim their third futsal title in a row.

Spain had excelled throughout the twelve-day tournament and began the final as strong favorites. They had already beaten Portugal 6-1 in the group stages, while the game, held in Debrecen, was Portugal's first ever final. Portugal's best finish to date was fourth place in the previous tournament in 2007.

Sebelum ini, tempoh kuarantin ditetapkan adalah tiga tahun (2007 hingga 2010) dan selepas mengadakan mesyuarat khas petang semalam, tempoh larangan bermain itu dikurangkan kepada dua tahun (2008 hingga 2010).

PETALING JAYA: The Harimau Muda senior team (national Under-21) will see action in Slovakia.

The FA of Malaysia (FAM) have managed to get Mohd Azraai Khor’s boys into the second-tier of the Slovakian National League (Division One) after their application to play in the Singapore League was rejected last month.

The FAM deputy president, Datuk Redzuan Sheikh Ahmad, said that the team would get 14 matches in a four-month league in Slovakia involving eight teams from Feb 27-May 29.

BUDAPEST, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Spain beat Russia 7-6 on penalties while Portugal breezed past Serbia 5-1 on the second semi-final day at the UEFA European Futsal Championships on Tuesday.

With just three games left to decide the winner of this year's tournament, the semi-final line-up matches Spain against the Czech Republic and Portugal against Azerbaijan. Both games will take place on Thursday in Debrecen in eastern Hungary.
