TWO-TIME national futsal champions Figos-Real Sports Arena FC emerged champions in the International City Cup futsal tournament in Taiwan recently.
The Malaysian club side did well to top the five-team round-robin competition organised by the Taipei Futsal Association (TPFA).
Figos-RSA FC clinched the title after holding the host team from Taiwan to a 2-2 draw in the final game at the Municipal Stadium in Taipei.

Bandar SeriBegawan - The Ford Futsal Challenge Trophy 2010 in conjunction with His Majesty's birthday Celebration started last night at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Sports Complex.
Thirty-six teams joined the tournament and were divided into six groups. In Group A are DSP, Beribi Warrior A, Puspa FC B, UBD and PPS. In Group B are Fuyoo, Kashful MFT, Syahkampong, Maroon 5, Kota Junior and Ford All Stars A.

PASUKAN Figos RSA FC yang mewakili Malaysia muncul juara Piala International City apabila mempamerkan aksi menarik dengan memaksa pasukan Taipei Taiwan bekerja keras sebelum mencatatkan keputusan seri 2-2 pada perlawanan terakhir di Stadium Perbandaran Taipei, Taiwan, semalam.
Taiwan terlebih dahulu menjaringkan gol seawal minit ke-5 akibat kehilangan tumpuan barisan pemain Figos RSA FC pada babak-babak awal permainan. Figos RSA FC terus berusaha untuk mencari gol penyamaan namun empat peluang keemasaan gagal disempurnakan dengan baik.
PASUKAN dari Malaysia, Figos RSA FC menjaringkan 26 gol dan hanya bolos satu gol dalam aksi dua perlawanan pada Piala International City yang berlangsung di Stadium Perbandaran Taipei, Taiwan, semalam.
Pasukan negara itu yang bersaing dengan empat lagi pasukan bermula langkah kanan apabila menewaskan pasukan Persatuan Taiwan Thailand 10-0 pada sebelah petang.
Walaupun kedua-dua pasukan berhati-hati pada awal permainan pemain-pemain Figos RSA FC menggunakan peluang sebaik mungkin ditambah dengan beberapa kesilapan mudah pertahanan dan penjaga gol lawan.
Figos RSA FC yang dibarisi beberapa pemain kebangsaan nyata memiliki tahap kecergasan tinggi dan mempunyai sistem pertukaran pemain lebih terancang walaupun lawan membenam pasukan Taiwan Foreigner 7-4 sebelum itu.

TWO-time national futsal champions Figos-Real Sports Arena FC want to raise the bar at the international level.
After having won back-to-back national titles in 2008 and last year, the club now hopes to make waves at the “International City Cup” invitational futsal tournament in Taiwan on Saturday.
Team manager Andrew Hean said it was time for the team to broaden their horizons rather than being labelled merely jaguh kampong in the sport.

Chengdu: Chengdu Football Association General Secretary Gu Jianming has made elaborate plans once the Chengdu Futsal Park is thrown open to public towards the end of this year.
The ground-breaking ceremony of the stunning park will take place at the hands of AFC President Mohamed Bin Hammam, who witnessed the devastation of Chengdu after the earthquake in 2008.

Five players from Brunei Darussalam will be selected to represent a combined team of Brunei-Malaysia Vikings futsal team to compete in the upcoming National Futsal Teams Championship 2010 in Gold Coast, Australia next month.
